The terms governing your use of LLM Cost Check.
1. Agreement
These terms apply to your use of LLM Cost Check ("the site"), available at llmcostcheck.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
The site is a free, independent reference tool. There is no account, no subscription and no payment, and nothing here creates a commercial relationship between you and the site's operator.
2. What the site provides
LLM Cost Check estimates token counts and API costs for large language models, and compares gateway and local-runner platforms. All calculation happens in your browser.
It is an estimation and comparison tool. It is not a billing system, not a contractual quotation, and not a substitute for the pricing terms of any provider you actually buy from.
3. Accuracy and no warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.
Specifically, and without limiting the above, no warranty is given that:
- Pricing data is current, complete or correct. Prices are transcribed manually from providers' published rate cards and providers change them without notice.
- Token counts are accurate. Only OpenAI model counts are exact; all others are approximations, clearly labelled as such, and the methodology page documents where they are least reliable.
- Cost estimates will match your actual invoice. Estimates depend on assumptions you supply — particularly expected output length — and exclude batch discounts, enterprise agreements, free tiers, retries, tool-call overhead, and non-text modalities. Reasoning models such as o3 and o4-mini bill hidden chain-of-thought tokens that cannot be counted in advance, and their real cost is commonly several times the figure shown.
- The site will be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
Do not use this site as the sole basis for a financial, budgeting or procurement decision. Confirm current rates on the provider's own pricing page before committing to any spend. You are responsible for verifying any figure you rely on.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the site for any lawful purpose, including commercial planning and budgeting, and you may share links to specific calculations freely.
You must not: attempt to interfere with, disrupt or compromise the site or the infrastructure it runs on; use automated systems to access the site in a manner that imposes an unreasonable load; scrape or systematically extract the pricing and comparison data for republication as a competing dataset without attribution; remove, obscure or interfere with advertising or attribution on the site; or misrepresent the site's output as being endorsed by, or originating from, any model provider.
5. Intellectual property
The site's text, design, code, guides and the presentation and organisation of its comparison data are the property of the site's operator.
You may quote short extracts from the guides with attribution and a link. You may reference individual figures with attribution. Wholesale reproduction of the guides or the comparison tables requires permission — ask, as it is usually granted.
Underlying factual pricing information is not claimed as proprietary; it originates from the providers themselves and is publicly available from them.

All model names, product names, logos and brand marks referenced on this site are the property of their respective owners. OpenAI® and GPT® are trademarks of OpenAI OpCo, LLC. Claude® and Anthropic™ are trademarks of Anthropic PBC. Gemini™ and Google® are trademarks of Google LLC. Grok™ is a trademark of X.AI Corp. Llama™ and Meta® are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc. DeepSeek™ is a trademark of DeepSeek AI. Other platform names are trademarks of their respective owners.
These marks are used solely for identification and nominative comparison. LLM Cost Check is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or in any partnership with any of these companies.
7. External links
The site links to third-party websites, including provider pricing pages and platform sign-up pages. Those sites are outside the operator's control and no responsibility is accepted for their content, accuracy, availability, terms or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
8. Advertising
The site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over the site's content, and the model and gateway comparisons contain no paid placements or affiliate links. Responsibility is not accepted for the content of third-party advertisements or for anything you buy from an advertiser. How advertising cookies are handled is set out in the privacy policy.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site's operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business or anticipated savings, arising out of or in connection with your use of the site — including any loss arising from reliance on a cost estimate, token count or pricing figure obtained here.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Because the site is provided free of charge, any aggregate liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use the site (which is nil) or GBP 50.
10. Privacy
Text you paste into the calculator is processed entirely within your browser and is never transmitted to the site. The privacy policy explains this and the handling of third-party advertising cookies in full, and forms part of these terms.
11. Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision, and continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected in that date.
The site's content, features and availability may change or be discontinued at any time without notice.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your local law.
13. General
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. A failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding the site.
